Penang Trip : Day 1

Ok, I've been lazy I admit. Paiseh for being that way. Well, holidays have been.... a little boring. I can't really think of a place to go. So much for the plans of exploring Penang. After all, I think I've been to pretty much everywhere in Penang.... perhaps. But no matter. There was still some unfinished business. Even though it's a slow process *thanks to the fact that I do not have a car*, I still got my chance. =P

Let's begin. Day 1! It all started after I dropped my dad at his workplace. Then, I rushed off sooner or later only to find out I violated some traffic rules in the workplace itself..... >.>. Oh well, I still didn't realise it until I got home. No matter. I drove myself to Esplanade in which I started my "photowalk"/exploration with my trusty IXUS 860!

Wahaha, jealous? It's quite stylo, ain't it? Well, that's what I brought with me and let the photo session begin!

Beach Street

This is new.

MPPP Building. At least the building ain't like the ones who go in it.

Guess whose motto is this? *answer below*

How ironic

Practicing the motto now, are we?

Chinese Textile store. *didn't know it was there*

I didn't know students needed barbed wire 0_0

I'm just proud of this shot lol. >.<
Right. After snapping about 30 photos or so, I decided to head on to the Museum for a look-see. After all, this was an exploration. No other place than that to discover Penang and its origins! And tell you what? I wasn't disappointed at all. It was very new. They added tons of stuff from what was left out last time out *I went 5 years ago*. It is only now that I know Penang was called Pulau Ka Chu........ It's just a weird name =.=. Well, they've done a good job by turning the Museum into a gallery or display of Penang and its history in a very detailed manner. It was quite an upgrade really. I must say that it is a must visit whenever you are free or keen about knowing your roots. *Suggestion for WY =P* Here's a picture or two of the Museum.
From the side

Coincidently, I got to see this =D

After an hour or two there, I parted ways with the Museum. Then, it somehow started raining. Bad timing. I was walking. Ahh! Run I did, and thankfully, I managed to get to the car. There goes my morning. It wasn't long before I reached Chung Ren's house. Well, I suggested lunch out with Yon Hon as well but he's ignorant and prefers homecooking. So well, I had to give up. Now, let's see two houses. Without telling which is whose, I'll ask you all to compare first! :D
House A

House B

Cast your votes now! A or B. A is under renovation, so maybe a little unfair. But no matter. Blue or pink! Make your guesses and votes now! *is on the sidebar =P*

Over there, CR showed me around as well as demonstrated his gaming skills, especially in Yuri's Revenge *yay, finally can bully Soony* It was quite fun. I stayed there till 4. YH was there as well. Interestingly, the part I particularly like there was Terri!

I present...................................... Terri! Cute hah? I couldn't agree more. Cute but mischievious though. Couldn't quit sniffing my leg =.=

Dog tamer! Well, this self proclaimed magician knows how to tame a hound hah? >D Who needs the owner =P

All in all, it was quite enjoyable. Was the first day of my holidays. Exciting. One last photo to cap it!

Yay! Museum visit. I admit I folded the paper for convenience. >.<. Hope I do more of this soon. Day 2 coming up! *less photos though* =P. Oh ya, check out my Day 1 album for the complete collection of my "photowalk"! >D. Till the next time.
